What types of projects do you take on?

Our main focus is architectural building whether that is a full new build, feature renovation or outdoor areas. We do still value and take on smaller jobs like bathroom renovations for landlords, carports, garages, decks and anything to make our clients happy. Our clients know that we will be fully transparent, plan their job well and take care of every details – exceptional customer service and quality is what we deliver. We take those difficult building details and get the job done right for you.

How long will my project take?

Just like the range of work we do, every project is different. Each project has its own unique timing, challenges and details that need carefully taken care of. We are always upfront about timing, including when things change. Every one of the Mike Gwynne team will keep you up to date, find the answers to your questions if they don’t know it and get it done in a timely manner.

How do you keep clients informed during the build?

From the builders onsite, to your foreman, to Mike both building and project managing to Nicole in the background monitoring details – we all will make sure you know exactly what is going on. You can expect daily calls, messages and points of contact – or if you don’t want that, we can accommodate that type of job management too. We customise to your expectations and keep everything well managed, transparent and clear.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Mike designed and with his team build our carport and fences, when others said it couldn't be done. From start to finish everyone was professional, respectful and miticulous in their work. The communication from Nicole was brilliant. The job was completed to a high standard. Highly recommend Mike and his team.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Mike and his team are not only highly skilled and knowledgeable, but what really sets them apart is their communication. Mike has a rare ability to know exactly what to share, when to share it, and how to explain things clearly—without overwhelming you with technical detail. He translates complexity into simple, confident decisions and keeps the whole process feeling smooth and transparent. A great team to work with.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I contacted Mike in a panic last night - he arrived less than 12 hours later. He quickly understood our situation, got the job done to an extremely high standard, liaised with our main builder and sub-contractor; all with in-depth knowledge and skill, good grace and humour. I would recommend Mike Gwynne Builders to anyone needing reassuring guidance through any project. I will certainly be keeping his number!

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I contacted Mike Gwynne Builders about something in my house that needed to be checked and remedied. They came and did a good job of determining what the cause of the issue was and of solving the problem. I am happy to give them any further work in future.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Mike's team handled our garage/studio conversion and house renovation project with expertise, patience and humour.
Mike's communication skills, experience and problem solving gave a great outcome to a frustrating project. Attention to detail and insistence of quality in his team's and contractors' work was apparent.
A pleasure to have on site and we are happy to recommend him to others. We will be booking more work in the future.
